Central Park from the windows of Residence 4A

Central Park

Directly across
the avenue

Four rooms face the park. Everything below begins at the front door.

843 acres

A defining part of the experience here, and the apartment’s defining luxury

Set at the tree line, Residence 4A looks into the canopy of the park from the living room and all three bedrooms. Treetops, sky and shifting seasons become part of the home’s daily rhythm. Light pours across the living room, and when the leaves are down the view opens up deeper into the park.

The upper park, from the Reservoir north to the Conservatory Garden, is the quieter half. The neighborhood enjoys immediate access to some of its most beloved destinations, with the formality of the garden at one end and the open lawns of the meadows at the other.

Starting at the front door

The Reservoir

The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir begins at 96th Street, one block south of the front door. Its 1.58-mile track and skyline views make it one of the most loved running loops in the city.

The East Meadow

Directly across the avenue between 97th and 100th, a quiet lawn under old trees, with the North Meadow’s ballfields and recreation center just beyond.

The Conservatory Garden

Six formal acres at 105th Street, entered through the Vanderbilt Gate: an Italianate lawn, a French parterre, and an English garden that changes month by month.

The Tennis Center

Twenty-six clay courts and four hard courts inside the park at 94th Street, a short walk along the bridle path.

Museum Mile

The stretch of Fifth Avenue along the park from 82nd to 105th, with the Met, the Guggenheim, the Cooper Hewitt, the Museum of the City of New York and El Museo del Barrio.

The Bridle Path

The soft-surface loop around the Reservoir, shaded and unhurried, for walking, running or a morning with the dog.
